Jodha Akbar a Must See

This is one movie that everyone must see. It not only takes you through the Mughal era but also tells us about a King who being a Mughal Emperor (a Muslim himself) spoke about all religions being equal. Wherein today, we see Hindus and Muslims fighting over religion everywhere in India. It is a story of love between an Emperor and a Princess. We would advice you to show this movie to you children, so that they too learn about our rich past. The story of Jodha Akbar takes us back to the 16th century and tells us about the love that blossomed between Akbar and his wife Jodha. Jodha was the daughter of King Bharmal of Ajmer, who for political reasons got his daughter married to the Emperor. Jodha cried at her helpless but agreed to be Akbar’s wife on the condition that she will not be forced to change her religion and a small temple of Lord Krishna should be placed in the Mughal Palace. Akbar who followed Islam agreed to this and now had to win not only the battles, but also the love of the Rajput Princess. A love that was hidden, deep below resentment and prejudice. Although I personally think that Kareena Kapoor would have also been perfect for this role and could have easily portrayed the role of Jodha.
